About This Project

My project integrates visual art history education through my unique mixed-media designs. As there are corresponding lesson plans, the visual components are the most important part of this program.  I have created a series of 4 posters that feature Impressionist, Fauvist, Pop Art, and Renaissance art. They are designed as if a museum had been sliced in half and only previewed a singular art movement. This approach not only showcases different artists, museums, and artworks but also invites children to explore art in an immersive way, sparking excitement and curiosity about art history. To keep it visually appealing, I organized all the works’ titles, artists, dates, mediums, and locations on the back numbered in accordance with the front. There is also a series of museum viewers scattered throughout to draw the eyes in and out from the work itself. The people are hand-drawn and watercolored to give them a visual separation from the museum and the works themselves. Their outfits are designed to correlate with the paintings they are viewing. This design choice helps maintain focus and makes the experience more engaging for children, encouraging their curiosity and love for learning about art.
